Hello, I’m Tim Dundon, the owner of CONY Coatings, LLC. I chose the name “CONY” because Colorado and New York are two areas that are meaningful to me. Born and raised outside of Buffalo, I have strong ties to the Western New York town where I live today. As a longtime business owner in Vail, Colorado, I maintain important ties to that area as well. CONY Coatings brings together my extensive experience in these two regions.
Back in 1994, I moved to Vail with the goal of spending as much time as possible skiing. Of course, I soon realized that living in Vail required financing beyond my few dollars of savings, so steady employment became an issue. At that time, the construction industry in Vail was booming. In addition, at 8,000 feet above sea level, the exteriors of homes and buildings in that area take a beating. For these reasons, my background in painting and construction
put me in a very good position to find work, which I did. By 1997 I had started my own business, Primary Colors Painting, which eventually became the largest painting company in the Vail Valley (60 employees and over $2 million in annual sales).
With experience in Colorado and New York, I’ve been offering commercial and residential interior and exterior painting, repainting and staining, deck maintenance, and concrete staining and sealing for over twelve years. Today CONY Coatings, which I over twelve years. Today CONY Coatings, which I started in 2009, offers all these services (and more!) to families and businesses in Western New York.
